The Haverford mens basketball team shot 61.5 percent in the second half to come back from a six-point halftime deficit and defeat Muhlenberg, 71-62. It was the fourth loss in a row for the Mules (8-11, 5-7), who won at Haverford earlier this season. The Fords (9-9, 8-4) are the hottest team in the Centennial Conference, with six league wins in a row. Sophomore Jeff Stewart scored 15 of his game-high 24 points in the first half as Muhlenberg built an eight-point lead. Haverford made eight of its first 11 shots in the second half, including three from three-point range, and led by at least five points for all of the final 10 minutes. Senior Chase Licata scored 13 points for the Mules, and junior Jimmy OBrien tied a season high with nine rebounds. |
