Senior guard Gwen Doyle of the Muhlenberg women’s basketball team has been named co-player of the week by the Centennial Conference.

Doyle (left) averaged 16.7 points and 5.3 three-pointers per game, shooting 51.6 percent from behind the arc, in a 2-1 week. She scored a career-high 27 points, setting a school record and tying a CC mark with nine three-pointers in the Mules’ 133-80 win against Haverford. One of Doyle’s 16 three-pointers came from near halfcourt and gave Muhlenberg a halftime lead at DeSales.

During the week, Doyle increased her scoring average from 8.6 to 11.6 points per game. She leads the CC with 28 three-pointers on the season and ranks fifth in the conference in three-point percentage (.400) and 14th in scoring.

Doyle has now made at least one three-pointer in 37 consecutive games and ranks sixth in CC history with 149 career threes.
