Meet postponed
The Swarthmore Last Chance Meet was postponed a day from Monday, May 12, to Tuesday, May 13.

Erika Koop Bobby Torphy May 4: Pair of fives for Muhlenberg teams
Both Muhlenberg teams finished fifth at the Centennial Conference Championships. Senior Erika Koop (left), junior David Chorney, sophomore Brendan Kirk and freshman Bobby Torphy (right) won silver medals on the final day in the long jump, 400 hurdles, 1500 and 800, respectively.

Michael Karchner May 3: Karchner claims CC decathlon crown
Senior Michael Karchner (left) captured the decathlon title on the second day of the Centennial Conference Championships with a total of 5892 points.

Alex Faust May 2: Faust wins CC pole vault again
Sophomore Alex Faust (right) won the pole vault at a Centennial Conference championship meet. She tied a school record with her height of 11-1¾.

Abby Simons April 26: Simons qualifies for ECACs at Lehigh
Freshman Abby Simons (left) qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 800m after improving her personal record by almost three seconds to finish fourth with a time of 2:20.74 during the Lehigh Games. The non-scoring meet served as a warmup for the Mules before the Centennial Conference Championships next week.

David Chorney April 19: Chorney breaks steeplechase record
Junior David Chorney (right) shattered by over 16 seconds the school record in his first-ever 3000m steeplechase run, winning the event in 9:33.39 at the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian. Chorney posted one of two school records and seven ECAC-qualifying performances by the Mules.

Timothy Van Syckle April 12: Van Syckle smashes 10K record
Junior Timothy Van Syckle (left) broke the school record by in the 10,000 meters by almost a minute at the Bucknell Winter Classic. His performance is one of four by the Mules that qualified for ECACs.

April 5: Mules hosts Muhlenberg Invitational
Senior Michael Karchner, in the long jump, registered one of five ECAC-qualifying performances by the Mules at the 18-team Muhlenberg Invitational.

Jeremiah Lachaud March 31: Muhlenberg opens outdoor season in Millersville
The men's team opened the outdoor season with eight individual victories, while the women had three winners at Millersville Invitational Saturday. Sophomore Jeremiah Lachaud (right) placed first in the 200m dash (22.84) and qualified for ECACs in the 100m dash (11.14), finishing third.

Paul Kegelman Emily Karel March 23: Two honored for sportsmanship
Seniors Paul Kegelman (left) and Emily Karel (right) were named to the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.

Janelle Mentrikoski March 13: Ten named to Academic Honor Roll
Sophomore Janelle Mentrikoski (left) was one of ten Muhlenberg track and field athletes named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 2007-08 winter season.

Stuart Udis March 8: Men’s relay team wins ECAC gold
Muhlenberg’s 4x800-meter relay team took first place in a school-record time at the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Junior Stuart Udis (right) was a part of that team and also set a school record in the 800.

Patrick Thornton March 2: Mules win three gold medals at CC Championships
The Muhlenberg teams won three individual titles on the second day of the Centennial Conference Championships at Ursinus. Sophomore Patrick Thornton (left) helped the Mule 4x800m relay team win gold.
