The Mules (7-2, 2-2) have reached the 20-goal mark three times this season and are averaging nearly 16 goals per game on the campaign. They have scored in double digits in seven consecutive games. Teamwork was on display against the Fords (5-4, 1-2), as Muhlenberg set a school record with 16 assists. Senior Taylor Armstrong led 12 Muhlenberg players in the scoring column with three goals and four assists. Junior Ruth Morrongiello added four goals and two assists, and sophomore Amanda McGovern netted three goals, including two in the last 45 seconds of the first half to give the Mules a 12-4 lead at the break. Freshman Christine Van Hise capped the scoring with her first career goal.
Muhlenberg is 7-2 through nine games for only the second time in its history heading into Wednesday’s matchup against defending national champion Franklin & Marshall.
